Life Lately! - May 2019

Hi Friends!

How’s it hanging this fine Tuesday?

Can you believe it’s May already? When the year first started, I had a vision for YUPP, it consisted of watching a lot of TV and movies and writing about my thoughts. I quickly realized that was unrealistic because there is not enough time in the day, week, or month to do so. As I mentioned in the first post of my newly rebranded blog and website (which by the way if you haven’t already checked out please do)! I am going to start blogging more about life and what is going in everyday life.

So today I want to chat about life lately! I feel like I am finally settling into my job, personal, and YUPP life.

Starting with work, I think I have finally gotten into a groove with work! I work as a highlight editor right now and now that I have found my groove I want to start finding ways to grow. Lately, I have been doing some research on certifications. I would like to pursue becoming certified in Avid and Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Not only do I want to be an expert on these softwares for myself but for my employer and future clients. My goal in the next upcoming months is to figure out what classes I need to take to get closer to those certifications.

If any of my friends at work at reading this, y' all are the best and I appreciate you!

As for YUPP, after finally finishing up the rebranding I feel a lot more motivated to continue to write more on the blog about my personal life. I am excited to pick up projects I have put on the backburner for some time now. I have started to seek out paid gigs and music videos to continue to pursue my creative passions. It might seem like I have YUPP under control but I am incredibly motivated and inspired daily that I am constantly pitching myself ideas on projects to take on. For the rest of this month, I am going to focus on consistency with the blog and little projects to continue to learn new and better techniques. I love learning and I love that YUPP gives me the opportunity to constantly learn about myself and better myself at my own pace.

As for my personal life, well, let’s just say it’s alright! I typically have Tuesdays and Fridays off from work and those days when everyone else is working I try to do work for YUPP but I often spend one of those days being lazy and watching tv all day. For example this morning I watched the Ted Bundy Netflix Original film, Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile, it was great and highly recommend. Another hobby I have taken on is breadmaking. Thanks to Jenna Fisher (Pam from The Office) and the bread baking book by Bonnie O'Hara I am hooked on making homemade bread. I feel like I am being responsible by knowing exactly what I am putting into my body.

Some things I want to work on for the next month would be more fitness related. I used to love running and I want to get back into the groove of running outdoors and racing with my crew (you know who you are!). I also love cooking and have started with making breakfast in the morning, feel free to tune in Tuesday mornings on my Instagram stories to see what insane mess I am creating. This morning I got too caught up with all the veggies so I did not get a chance to share but next week for sure!

That’s all I have for you this week! Feel free to comment below or send me an email with anything specific you would like to know about me, filmmaking, or this weird lifestyle I am living. I would be more than happy to share! Don’t forget to follow YUPP on Instagram @yupproductions or me on twitter @cicecuellar!

Welcome to YUPP By Cice

I want to start today’s blog post with, THANK YOU!

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post and all the posts you have read in the past.

YUPP has been on hiatus yet again for the past few months now. During all that time away I have learned something very important that should have really hit me earlier. YUPP is me, Cice!

I am a city loving, fashion enthusiast, iced coffee drinking, directionally challenged, independent filmmaker.

Something I always tried to do was to separate myself from YUPP to let it be its own thing but YUPP can’t post content on its own. YUPP doesn’t have a personality, but I do. So moving forward this blog isn’t going to be all about TV, Movies, and Filmmaking. It’s going to be about me Cice. My ideas, my passions, my job life, and my interests that include filmmaking!

I want to start with sharing a little bit about how I got into filmmaking. In high school, I was part of a documentary that had me in front of a camera. While filming I always wanted to hang out behind the camera and learn how everything worked. When I went off to college I started as an education major but after 1 quarter of that I switched over to the College of Digital Media and ended up graduating with a concentration in TV Production. I loved post production so I pursued a career in editing. Today I am working as a highlight editor for a sports broadcasting network. I think having been in front of the camera in high school I have somewhat become scared to go back. I want to slowly work my way back to the front of the camera and share more of me.

I cannot wait to share more about ME! I hope you follow along through this blog and on Instagram @yupproductions or @cicecuellar!

Happy almost weekend! Catch ya next week!
